Anime Cover Art

I have a Soundcloud playlist for anime covers so for a cover image I wanted to draw an anime character under the covers. I don't think any other animated character has bed covers as iconic as Serena's. Of course it's hard not to notice when you know her Japanese name is Tsukino Usagi which can be translated as "rabbit of the moon"- the Japanese equivalent to the man in the moon.

I originally drew Luna waking Serena up but 1) I was having trouble squeezing her and Serena’s hair into that space and 2) this pose came out really cute so now I guess she’s just criticizing her for sleeping in so late on a Sunday. (Although I wasn’t thinking about that when I drew the clock)
